Designed in collaboration with Appletons and the National Portrait Gallery for the Six Lives exhibition. This needlepoint craft kit contains everything you need to create your very own Anne Boleyn tapestry. Featuring a design illustrated by Emily Peacock based on an image of Anne Boleyn from the NPG Collection, (NPG 668). Once complete, your finished artwork will look beautiful framed or displayed on your wall.
A word from the artist Emily Peacock: “I am devoted to the handmade and the human wherever possible and so it was a joy to be asked bring history’s Anne Boleyn to life through stitch and colour. Whether you see her as a heroine, a victim or a villain, hers is a riveting and fascinating story of cunning, patriarchy, struggle and ultimately downfall.”
About the exhibition:
Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens explores the representation of Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr throughout history and popular culture in the centuries since they lived. The exhibition draws upon a wealth of factual and fictional materials to present the life, legacy and portrayal of six women who forever changed the landscape of English history.
