Born in Kenya and raised in Leicestershire, Marshall trained at RADA in London. Her early films included The Lost People (1949) and Deadly Nightshade (1953). Her appearance often resulted in her being cast in “ethnic” roles and she is best known for her role as Miss Taro in the first James Bond film, Dr. No (1962). Her numerous television appearances in the 1960s included roles in Danger Man and Dixon of Dock Green.
